Case Study #1

Turnover

Industry: Restaurant

Challenge: Company X was experiencing a rise in turnover. They wanted to gain a deeper understanding of what was causing this turnover and what they could do to turn it around.

Solution: Together with Company A, D Powell Consulting Group LLC. Through employee interviews, observations, and data analysis, we identified the top root causes of their turnover and developed solutions that helped the company to reach its employee retention goal.

Result: Our recommendations were well received and applied within the organization. The following year turnover was reduced by 10%, resulting in the store management and employee turnover being 35% lower than the industry average.

Case Study #3

Evaluation

Industry: non-Profit

Challenge: Company W, a non-profit education company, wanted to see how they could improve their program, while also showing the impact that the program was having on the student’s learning success.

Solution: D Powell Consulting Group conducted a pre and post-survey tailored to the specific goals of the program. In addition, we also conducted exit surveys from the students once they completed the program.

Results: An evaluation report was distributed to key stakeholders to show the objective impact that the program had on the students, and key recommendations to further increase the program’s effectiveness. As a result, this led to an increase in donations funds.

Case Study #2

Training Effectiveness

Industry: Manufacturing

Challenge: Company Y needed help establishing trust and communication within the organization. They agree to a training solution but wanted to ensure that the training was effective and tailored to the department’s specific needs.

Solution: D Powell Consulting Group performed a pre-training survey of management and employee communication and trust was administered to pinpoint the areas of communication and trust that the training needed to address.

Result: Through our survey evaluations we were able to identify the possible hindrances to training success and address them over the 6-month training period. As a result, the post-intervention analysis showed A 70% improvement in communication and trust.

Case Study #4

Recruitment

Industry: Hospitality

Challenge: Company Z was experiencing increasing difficulty attracting high-quality job candidates and retaining them throughout the entire selection process.

Solution: D Powell Consulting Group conducted a multi-level research analysis. The first level was to identify the top reasons why candidates declined the Company’s job offers. The second was to understand how to attract more desirable candidates. Lastly, the third analysis was to gain a clearer understanding of the current state of the hospitality job market.

The findings from these analyses showed us where the company’s recruitment and selection process could be improved to attract and hire more top-quality candidates.

Results: As a result, D Powell Consulting Group was able to identify where to reallocate over $1 million dollars in wasted recruitment resources, and improve Company D’s Glassdoor rating for the overall interview experience.
